New Polishes + Tiny Hex Glitters

I saw these at my local Winners, decided to pick them up since they were inexpensive.  There was another set with green, orange, purple and white polishes.  The bottles with the black bows are matte polishes while the blue is a creme and the deep red is shimmery.  They don't have individual names or numbers and they're supposed to be one coaters, but two coats is best.

And recently some nail art supplies that I bought off ebay arrived in the mail.  I bought these tiny hexagon glitters along with some larger nail gems and some gold/silver ball chains.  Wasn't really sure what I was gonna do with them, but decided upon an argyle design to use the glitters.

My hands are drrrryyyy.  Indoor heating makes my skin dry and itchy.  Anyway, I used the blue polish from above along with some acrylic paint for the diamond shapes and then used the hex glitters.  So happy that the colour from the glitter doesn't bleed.  I had previously bought a different set at the beginning of the year, but they lost their colour as soon as I put on a top coat.

FOPI minis + Etude House

Went out shopping last Monday at Pacific Mall/Market Village. Bought some cream puffs (ate them before I could take a photo of them) and these faux OPI minis.


They were just in large tubs with a bunch of other mini polishes with no names or labels. The bottles themselves have some scratches or improper printing on the bottle. The bottoms have labels with a number and some words in Korean. They also smelled pretty bad. Here's a glittery gradient I did with the polishes above.

This is Etude House from I believe the Dear Darling line - WH020 Extreme Jewel.


I couldn't really capture it well on my nails, but it's mostly a silver glitter with purple, green, blue and red glitters thrown in too. This didn't stay on my nails too long. I think it peeled off the my index fingers the the second day of wear, which was the Monday that I went shopping. I walked around with polish on half my nails all day.

Copied! + New Glitter Polishes

Copied this nail look from 달빛샤워의 Coffee Break that I saw on Tumblr via kireinails - rainbow sponge. I was bored of the goldfishes and decided to do this. Can't help changing my nails up every few days. The purple, blue and green pretty much dominate and the pink is completely missing, nails aren't long enough.

Colours used: Innisfree - NBL04, joe - Powder Blue, joe - Mint, Innisfree - NYE05, frankened coral, joe - Kiss and Wet N Wild - Hallucinate.

Picked up some glitter polishes from a random dollar store that I'd never been to before. In the bottle they seem about the same. Differences - CR has more small glitters, thicker clear base and smells bad, SHE has hexagonal glitters and more of the red and blue glitters and doesn't really smell.

Pink Glitter Gradient

Love gradient nails. Did one coat of Etude House PK006 (the bottle with the light pink cap) then used a sponge with stripes of the base colour, then PK012 (bright pink cap, from the Etude House VIP Girl line) and then PK002 (purple cap from the Etude House HD nails line). Topped it off with a frankened glitter polish of just iridescent white glitters.

Fig Fimos

I received a bunch of fimo canes for Christmas so I did a manicure using a few of them. They're okay to use. The flower is kinda ripped in the above picture, but they stayed on fairly well until I went to remove them. joe - fig as the base colour and a frankened glitter over top. Don't think I'll be using fimos often, most aren't really designs that I like. I think they would be more useful for decoden stuff. Maybe use 'em to decorate a compact or a mirror or something else small.
